Half-time clergy coordinator for dynamic Reform Jewish congregation.

Primary Responsibilities
• Manage busy calendars, scheduling and prioritizing appointments.
• Check voicemail and e-mail regularly and respond promptly.
• Receive and screen incoming calls and/or visitors to the Clergy office and ensure appropriate follow-up to requests.
• Provide clerical assistance to Clergy as needed for all programs of the synagogue, including worship, education, social action/social justice, etc.
• Facilitate good communication between Clergy and members of the office.
• Organize and maintain paper and electronic files.
• Manage and improve systems to enable the Clergy to work more efficiently.
• Coordinate administrative tasks for ritual, life cycle, and holiday events as well as worship services.
• Prioritize overlapping demands, ongoing work projects and special assignments to consistently meet deadlines.
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with Temple members and others who are in contact with the Clergy on a regular basis.
• Work with sensitive information/situations and maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
• Assist with recordkeeping for Clergy discretionary checking accounts and reimbursement submissions.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed in support of the front office including answering the phone and greeting visitors.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Works effectively as part of a team to achieve individual, team and departmental objectives, sharing knowledge and skills as appropriate.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Eager to learn, out-going, assertive, and detail orientated.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant or equivalent.
• Professional in appearance and temperament.
• Willing and able to work with all personality types in a professional manner.
• Extraordinary interpersonal skills and dedication to excellent customer service
• Flexibility and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player in a fast-paced office environment.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel specifically).
• Familiarity with Constant Contact and Facebook Meta Business Suite is a plus.
• Knowledge of CRM and form builder software (especially ShulCloud) is a plus.
• Familiarity with databases or web page management is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Judaism is a plus but not required.
